Today is the American Mathematical Society's birthday. Founded on
November 24, 1888 to further mathematical research and scholarship, the
Society continues to fulfill its mission through a wide variety of
programs and services. On this anniversary the AMS thanks its many
volunteers, staff, donors and members over the years.
